The Excelsior Trombone Ensemble
excites audiences with a rare versatility, offering repertoire ranging from the majestic origins of the trombone during the Renaissance to classical, jazz, pop and modern idioms. Founded in 2005, the group performs in concert halls and sacred spaces, often in collaboration with vocal ensembles and organists. ETE also presents programs in schools, colleges and universities as part of their ongoing commitment to education and artistic creativity. This season Excelsior has enjoyed repeat concert broadcasts on public radio’s “Performance Today”.
